For pet parents

When you are finding and hosting a sitter, you agree to:

• Treat all members with respect, regardless of race, religion, nationality, ethnicity, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age.
• Create an accurate listing with clear information about your home, pets, routines, and expectations.
• Agree on responsibilities before confirming the sit, including any costs that could come up during the sit.
• Confirm the sit in Tryypa once you and the sitter have agreed on the details.
• Share key information before the sit starts, including:
  • Pet care instructions
  • House rules
  • Emergency contacts
  • Vet details and what to do in an emergency
• Be responsive to messages before and during your time away.
• Provide a clean, comfortable, and secure home environment.
• Ensure the sitter has exclusive access to the home during the sit, with no unannounced third parties present.
• Cover agreed and reasonable emergency veterinary costs and arrange repayment if the sitter pays upfront.
• Avoid cancellations and early returns. Only do this in exceptional circumstances and communicate immediately.

For sitters

When you are applying for and completing a sit, you agree to:

• Treat all members with respect, regardless of race, religion, nationality, ethnicity, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age.
• Provide pet sitting in exchange for accommodation, unless clearly stated otherwise in the listing.
• Create an accurate profile with clear information about your experience, availability, and what you can commit to.
• Agree on responsibilities before confirming the sit and follow the pet parent’s instructions.
• Arrive and leave at the agreed times. Do not arrive late or leave early without approval.
• Avoid cancellations. Only cancel in exceptional circumstances and notify the pet parent as soon as possible.
• Take good care of pets, home, and garden, and leave the home as you found it.
• If a pet becomes unwell or there is an emergency:
  • Seek appropriate veterinary support.
  • Inform the pet parent as quickly as possible.
  • Follow the agreed emergency instructions.
• Report any home maintenance issues promptly and ask for guidance before taking action (unless urgent for safety).

If something goes wrong

If there is a safety issue, serious rule breach, or dispute, stop and contact support@tryypa.com as soon as possible. We may take action to protect the community, including restricting or removing access to the platform.
